About: Anne-Julia Audray




Internationally renowned professional opera singer coloratura soprano, Anne-Julia Audray, is the founder in 2008 of Belle-en-Musique: the company is serving the International community of professional opera singers providing teaching, coaching and management for the artists.


An award winning opera singer herself, Mrs. Audray is a classical vocal professor, international voice consultant in public speaking for executives, founder and director of the French American Choir of New York and the Southold Opera Chorus, Artistic and Education Director of the Southold Opera House on Long Island in New York, and founder of the Audray School for Singing at Lincoln Center in New York City.


Mrs. Audray started her studies in Paris at the Sorbonne University with a concentration in Musicology in 1982. She then joined the prestigious Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris in 1985, where she studied and received several awards in vocal technique, opera performance, operetta, musical theater, and baroque music, as well as music theory, music history and piano.

She then travelled all over the world singing opera roles on prestigious stages of opera houses: Queen of the night, Olympia, Gilda, Zerbinetta, Nanetta...

Upon her arrival in the United States in 2001, Mrs. Audray earned her Professional Studies degree from Rice University, specializing in Non-Profit Management for Executives. Her true passion is in education, and her international experience in performing and enthusiasm for sharing the art of singing, as well as her entrepreneurial spirit has led her to dedicate her life to creating numerous projects in the world of the performing arts for more than 35 years in Paris, France, Houston, Texas and New York City, where she currently resides.


Madame Audray puts her technical virtuosity, stage experience and skills to the service

of men and women whose professional success hinges on their mastery of public

speaking, working with CEOs, politicians and educators hailing from all over the world.

Wishing to extend her teaching methods to a global audience, Madame Audray

developed and patented a voice analysis software program by the name of

Vocebella in 2002. That same year, Vocebella was hailed by the French Senate as one

of the best new tech companies that year.

In 2020, She is working on an educative App for singers to teach them how to properly warm-up their voices and how to develop skills, vocal range, elegance and artistry.


Since 2008 in New York City, Anne-Julia Audray oversees a program in singing: the Audray School for Singing at Lincoln Center, for middle, high school and college students, preparing them to perform and audition for specialized performing arts schools and music conservatories at the university level.

In 2012, she created the First Audray Competition for Young Singers at Carnegie Hall to find, recruit, and train young voices aged 10 to 17.

In December 2018, she organized the 2018 Southold Opera Singing Competition at Carnegie Hall for professional opera singers with the participation of the French American Choir of New York and the Southold Opera Chorus and produced in 2019 the famous Broadway/Classico show: "TENORRRISSIMO, the 5 Tenors"

Mrs Audray has been the stage director for 8 operas and 2 musical comedy shows and has produced more than hundred concerts all over New York with the Long Island Opera Company, the French American Choir of New York and the Southold Opera House.
