Korean Baritone, Sol Jin, made his debut last spring at Carnegie Hall in New York City as the Germont in Verdi's in La Traviata at participated in Merola Opera Program in summer 2015. He has been praised for his “an incisive performance, evenly and beautifully sung “Opera News” and “resonant, powerfully projected voices “SFCV”. This year in October, Opera News choose him as one of 25 rising opera stars in America.

In 2014 he made his Opera Debut singing with Long Island Opera Company in New York as a Germont in La Traviata. He has appeared as Germont in La traviata, Rodrigo in Don Carlo, Gianni Schicchi as Cover in Gianni Schicchi and Prince Yeletsky in Pique Dame with Merola Opera Program, Macbeth in Macbeth with Manhattan School of Music. Other credits this season include Il Conte in Le nozze di Figaro with Long Island Opera Company. Mr. Jin received his master’s degree from The Manhattan School of Music and his Bachelor’s degree from Yonsei University. He received 1st prize in The Gerda Lissner Foundation International Vocal Competition and 4th prize in The Licia Albanese-Puccini Foundation's Annual International Vocal Competition, Emerging Artist Awards for Opera Index Competition (2015), 2nd Prize of XIV ALTAMURA/CARUSO International Voice Competition (2015), as well as receiving Annual Singer award from MSM. This fall he performed in The Licia Albanese-Puccini Foundation's Annual International Vocal Competition Winners Concert at Carnegie Zankel Hall, New York City. Sol just was selected in the Metropolitan Opera Competition in the first round at Eastern Region and is admitted in the Regional Finale for the next round of auditions on the National level.
